Neuropsychology

Neuropsychological evaluations help measure cognitive functioning and changes related to various medical and psychiatric disorders.

Dr. Sedlak is a clinical neuropsychologist with experience across the lifespan. She completed her doctorate in Clinical Forensic Psychology at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. She completed an APA-accredited neuropsychology and forensic psychology internship at the Centerstone Consortium in Florida, and subsequently completed a two-year formal neuropsychology post-doctoral fellowship in a private practice setting in Florida. Dr. Sedlak specializes in providing assessment services to diverse patient populations presenting with various psychological, neuropsychological and medical conditions. She also has specialty training in forensic psychology, including assessments for adult and juvenile criminal and civil cases. Dr. Sedlak is a member of the American Psychological Association Division 40, American Academy of Clinical Neuropsychology, and the North Carolina Psychological Association.

Clinically, Dr. Sedlak particularly enjoys working with adolescents and young adults. She has specialized in ADHD and autism assessment, and has worked closely with local universities to provide comprehensive evaluations in support of accommodations for standardized testing (e.g., Bar exam, MCAT, LSAT, etc.)

Forensically, Dr. Sedlak has extensive experience working with juveniles and young adults facing the death penalty, including evaluation of mitigating circumstances. She has worked with attorneys across the state and is willing to travel as needed.
